When to Come

April is the start of the fishing here. It is the most productive time of the year for quantity and quality of fish. This is trophy Brown trout time, trolling close to shore using, planer boards and stick baits and the action is non-stop.

  • May brings on the warmer weather and high jumping steelhead. The state record steelhead was caught in May. It also brings on the spring charged King Salmon.
  • June is a excellent time for a variety of fish being caught, the calmest lake conditions, and is also the start of the Walleye fishing on Lake Erie, the Walleye Capital of the world.
  • July is both the walleye pike prime season on Erie and trout and salmon on Ontario. This is the peak Steelhead and pre-spawn King’s month to go on a feeding frenzy.
  • August is the drag-screaming, tackle-busting peak King Salmon season. Come catch some of these heavy weight “Slamming Salmon”.
